Development of the course:

This is a virtual course that is taken asynchronously and synchronously. The spent time weekly is the following:

4 asynchronous hours (time in the platform)

15 synchronous hours (Video meetings on Zoom)

The participant will be able to make dialogues and speeches in English using messages that express viewpoints, wishes, and plans in everyday work and at home using grammar structures, pronunciation rules, and specific vocabulary related to his/her occupation.

You can access our platform from any device (computer, tablet, or cellphone)as long as you have internet access.

In the time on the platform, you will do the following activities:

1. Read the PDF units and look up new vocabulary

2. Listen to the audios and take notes about pronunciation

3. Watch the video explanations about each unit

4. Complete the vocabulary, reading comprehension, and grammar homework in the written homework section in each unit

5. Do grammar quizzes

6. Plan, rehearse, record, and upload to the platform the recording about the speeches which are the Oral homework

As the platform is active 24/7, you can organize the 6 hours of its use flexibly based on your study schedule. Our recommendation is to spend one hour and a half a day, 4 days a week.

The video meetings on Zoom are 15 hours a week, distributed in 3 sessions of 4 hours and 1 session of 3 hours. Just like in the case of the platform, you can access the meetings from any device as long as it has internet access and the application is installed. In the video meetings, activities about reading, writing, listening, and speaking are developed based on the theory you learned in the platform.

Technical requirements:

Although the platform and Zoom are compatible with a variety of devices, there are some technical requirements to make your learning experience more effective:

1. To have a stable internet connection of 2 Gigas (at least)

2. To be connected to wi-fi

Evaluation:
